Radio personality Yvonne Tivatye has been chosen to present an award at this year’s SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards to be held in Durban South Africa this weekend.
The multi-award-winning presenter on Star FM’s Gospel Greats show will be amongst other star-studded celebrity presenters at Africa’s biggest gospel award ceremonies.
She expressed gratitude for being chosen as one of the award presenters at the 15th edition of the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards, which are returning to Durban’s ICC on the 27th of November 2022.
“I was deeply humbled, to know that there are people out there who notice the impact The Gospel Greats has on the continent was nothing short of encouraging,” said Yvonne Tivatye.
She added that she was looking forward to representing her country and radio station.
“It definitely means so much to me that on that stage I will get an opportunity to show that I am fully capable of representing my country and station at that prestigious occasion. I’m looking forward to many more doors this opportunity will open for me,” she added.
This won’t be the first time she has been chosen to represent the country at premier events as she was recently invited to cover the FNB WowFest in Zambia where she broadcast Travis Greene’s performance live from Lusaka.
Meanwhile, Yvonne will be rooting for fellow countrymen Mike Mahendere and Tatenda Mahachi who have been nominated in the category ‘Best of Africa.’
“All the very best to the two! Bring it home guys, we are super proud of you,” she said.
