The Los Angeles Catholic Church paid $1.5 billion in sexual abuse settlements, underscoring years of controversy surrounding idol worship, sodomy, and other allegations. Religion itself is divisive, and the Catholic Church has faced intense scrutiny for as long as I can remember. Disturbing reports from convents have further eroded trust.

A viral YouTube video shared a Ugandan man’s story, who was married to a 60-year-old woman labeled a witch. He received a scholarship from a Catholic priest to study in Italy, where he claimed to have been abused and initiated into dark practices.

Observing Christianity, the actions of some leaders raise questions about their true intentions. Are they serving God or running cults and money-making schemes? Prophets, evangelists, and apostles worldwide face accusations of human trafficking, pedophilia, and corruption.

Church factionalism and leader idolisation have led to congregant brainwashing. We live in times where people seek community or change, often neglecting critical thinking. The Bible, the most accessible book of all time, should be read and understood personally, rather than relying on others’ interpretations.

Our problems often stem from placing humans on pedestals, assuming they’re incapable of wrongdoing. This blind faith enables exploitation. It’s crucial to approach spirituality with discernment, recognizing humanity’s flaws and seeking truth through personal understanding. It’s important to go to church to worship God, not the father or prophet.
