Lusaka, Zambia – The highly anticipated Lusaka July is set to return for its 9th edition on Sunday, September 29, 2024, under the theme “Stars in the Land of Copper.” Organized by PR Girl Media, this year’s event marks a significant milestone, celebrating 60 years of Zambian fashion as part of the country’s independence anniversary. The event, known for its glamorous fashion showcases, musical performances, and celebrity networking, continues to solidify its place as one of Africa’s premier fashion events.

At a press conference held on September 20, 2024, at Manda Hill, corporate sponsors expressed their support for the Lusaka July. Representatives from major companies such as Big Tree Beverages, Heineken Beverages, Manda Hill, and Cargo 88 Hotel announced their endorsements, highlighting the event’s growing impact on both Zambian fashion and the region.

Monde and Chishimba Nyambe, co-founders of Lusaka July and the dynamic sister duo behind PR Girl Media, emphasized the event’s expanding regional influence. “After the success of last year’s event, dubbed Africa’s Biggest Day of Fashion, our corporate partners have returned to enhance customer experiences and expand their brands across the continent. Together, we aim to position Lusaka July as a regional powerhouse,” they stated.

Part of the key partners include, Big Tree Beverages, part of Trade Kings Group, returns as the Lead Partner for the 4th year. Manda Hill, Lusaka’s premier retail destination, continues its role as the Official Retail Partner for the 6th year in a row, with Head of Marketing Jainaba Bah reaffirming their commitment to the fashion event. Heineken Beverages enters the Lusaka July scene for the first time, with their newly launched Amarula brand. Head of Trade Marketing, Amusaa Zaza, expressed excitement about their involvement in the fashion space.

Hosting international attendees and ensuring a luxurious experience for all those visiting Zambia for the fashion extravaganza, Cargo 88 Hotel joins as the Official Hotel Partner.

This year’s event is expected to captivate a continental audience, with prominent designers set to grace the runway. Esnoko will headline the fashion showcases, joined by international guest designers Zarguesia from Zimbabwe and South African designer Imprint. The Lusaka Polo Club, known for its stunning fields, will once again serve as the venue, providing a perfect backdrop for some of the most creative and daring fashion seen at Lusaka July.
