Renowned musician and entrepreneur 50 Cent announces the expansion of G-Unit Film & Television with the launch of G-Unit Studios in Shreveport.

Recognizing the power of music, film, and television to drive change, 50 Cent emphasizes the platform’s role in amplifying diverse voices and narratives. The move to Shreveport reflects a commitment to nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and building a vibrant community centered on innovation.

Mayor Tom Arceneaux expressed his excitement about G-Unit Studios establishing itself in Shreveport, highlighting the city’s vibrant culture and abundant talent as ideal for such an initiative.

“This city’s rich culture and talent provides the perfect backdrop for this endeavor. We are eager to collaborate with Mr. Jackson and G-Unit Film & Television to bring captivating movies and entertainment to Shreveport and Caddo Parish.” he said, speaking to Billboard reporters

Established in 2005, G-Unit Film & Television Inc. has been a prolific producer of diverse content across various platforms and networks. Its standout achievement is the STARZ TV series Power, which has garnered widespread acclaim.

‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ will see Zimbabwean born actress (based in the United States), Sibongile Mlambo cast as Imani Okoye, an intelligent, self-assured, and astute executive at a small but fashionable record label. Mlambo’s latest appearances include recurring roles in Netflix’s Florida Man alongside Edgar Ramirez, Lex Scott Davis, and Otmara Marrero. Notable credits also feature leading roles in Netflix’s Lost in Space and Freeform’s Siren, as well as recurring appearances in the CW’s Roswell, New Mexico, CBS’s MacGyver, MTV’s Teen Wolf, and Starz’s Black Sails, to mention a few.

Presently, 50 Cent oversees multiple shows airing on the STARZ network, including BMF, Raising Kanan, Force, and Ghost.
