Love and relationships are complex and deeply personal; what works for one person may not work for another. It’s often challenging to fully know someone, and even after years together, surprises can still arise. Many people struggle to distinguish between dating and courtship.

Recently, a Zimbabwean man, Ngonidzashe Mujuru, a tech professional, has been gaining widespread attention on X (formerly Twitter) after sharing his proposal story. He proposed to his now-fiancée, Anne Muchengeti, just 46 days after their first conversation, which began on Saturday, July 6th.

His engagement announcement has sparked a lot of unsolicited advice from people on X, with many arguing that it’s too early to make such a commitment. Ngonidzashe, however, has expressed his confidence and readiness, stating that he has prayed about it.

Others have commented that no woman would decline a proposal at such a luxurious location. After being trolled by Shadaya, who labeled him a “naive simp” and “church boy,” Ngonidzashe invited him to the wedding, offering to pay for his trip to Cape Town—a gesture that was declined. He has also offered another X user, @MakdShelby, an all-expense-paid lunch in South Africa this Sunday.

Congratulations to the couple! When two people are certain about what they want, everything seems to fall into place. Ngonidzashe has even made it his mission to get the attention of Mrs. Michelle Obama, promising to introduce her to his fiancée.
