The Eagles Nest Agri-Challenge 2025, launched by ZimTrade, is an innovative program designed to support and empower youth-owned agri-businesses in Zimbabwe. This initiative aims to identify, nurture, and reward innovative Agri-entrepreneurs with significant growth and job creation potential, ultimately boosting the country’s agricultural sector. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas, products, and services while gaining access to essential resources and expertise.

The program will provide training and mentorship to 100 selected participants, equipping them with the skills needed to grow their businesses and expand their vision beyond Zimbabwe’s borders. From the 50 successful applications in the southern region, judges will select 20 businesses that demonstrate strong export development potential.

ZimTrade Communications Officer Enia Dube stated that the initiative has the potential to transform the agricultural sector, create jobs, and improve the livelihoods of many Zimbabweans. The winner of the Eagles Nest program will receive support to attend trade fairs in relevant markets, along with six months of expert intervention from PUM of the Netherlands and SES (Senior Experten Services) of Germany to enhance their competitiveness in the export market.

The application deadline for the Eagles Nest Agri-Challenge 2025 is March 1, 2025. ZimTrade, therefore, encourages all young Agri-entrepreneurs to seize this rare opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas and contribute to the development of Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector.
