The Zimbabwean male modelling industry has seen remarkable strides in recent years, with its talented models earning recognition on international platforms. Building on the momentum of 2024, 2025 promises to be another exciting year for Zimbabwe’s male models.

One of the standout achievements of 2024 was Royce Gavi’s triumph at the Mister Tourism Africa pageant in Nigeria, where he won the Best Costume award. His victory not only celebrated Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage but also showcased the ingenuity of Zimbabwean designers on a global stage.

Equally noteworthy was King Future Nyoni’s record-breaking performance at the Mister Africa International pageant. Nyoni secured three titles—2nd Runner-Up, Heart of Africa, and Mister Southern Africa—setting a new benchmark for Zimbabwean male models at this prestigious event. Nyoni now holds a total of five titles from the Mister Africa International platform, solidifying his status as one of Zimbabwe’s top male models and inspiring future generations.

The year also saw the emergence of new platforms to celebrate Zimbabwean talent. Munashe Marnard Siyanata became the first-ever Mister Heritage Zimbabwe, a pageant dedicated to promoting the country’s cultural legacy. Similarly, Hillary Mandaba clinched the inaugural Misters of Zimbabwe title and is set to represent the nation at the Mister Tourism World pageant in Vietnam this February. Manamike Whatmos earned the title of Mister Zimbabwe International, while Sanchez Mpofu was crowned Mister Teen Zimbabwe, further diversifying Zimbabwe’s representation in global modeling arenas.

Zimbabwe’s male pageant kings have left a lasting impact on the industry, with notable names such as Tatenda Njanike, the longest-serving Mister Supranational Zimbabwe; Future Nyoni, Royce Gavi, and others like Saymore Machona, Prince Aiden, and Devson Luzane, each contributing to the nation’s growing influence in international pageantry.

Looking ahead, the industry faces intriguing questions: Who will take up the mantle to represent Zimbabwe at the Mister Supranational pageant, following in the footsteps of Tatenda Njanike? Can the next representative at the Mister Africa International pageant live up to the high bar set by King Future Nyoni? And will Zimbabwe see the revival of the Mister Zimbabwe pageant, dormant since Nkosinathi Ncube’s coronation in 2021?

While these questions linger, one certainty remains: the talent, creativity, and passion of Zimbabwe’s male modeling community will continue to shine. With a new generation of models stepping into the spotlight, Zimbabwe is well-positioned to make an even greater impact on the global stage in 2025 and beyond.
