The city of Bulawayo is hosting the Zone VI Afrobasket Women and Afrocan Men Qualifiers.
Countries that include: Angola, Mozambique, Zambia are in the city for the qualifiers match.
Team Zimbabwe is yet to battle with Mozambique men team to determine the final winner while in the ladies match will between Mozambique and Zambia to crown the finals. It was an easy start for the Zimbabwean teams, the ladies faced off with their northern neighbours, Zambia and won the game 69 against 57 points.
While the gentlemen defeated Mozambique by 71 points against 57 points.
The first opening game saw one of the favourites teams in the tournament, Angola being defeated by Mozambique by 74 points against 52 during the ladies match.
In Day two of the tournament,Zimbabwean ladies trailed from the start of the game as they were tonned by Angola in the final quarter the scores were 105-41 in favour of Angola.
In Men’s game, Mozambique won the game against Zambia 86-46.
The third day of the tournament Zambia’s men team came with a revenge as they played against the hosts, Zim Men’s team and defeated them by 63 points against 53. It wasn’t a good day for both teams in Zimbabwe as the ladies got trashed by Mozambique by 95:43 points.
Zimbabwe’s domestic T20 cricket, started on Monday last week to determine who will be crowned the King on the 26th of February.
Out of the six franchise teams only two remained standing fighting for the first position which were the Rhinos who faced of with the Eagles.
The finals of the tournament’s battle field was at the Harare Sports Club and ended results 173/8 (20 overs) and 111 (14.4 overs) in favour of the Rhinos.
The Rhinos were declared as the new champions.
In the world of Rugby the question this week was, are the Pitbulls going to remain in the top of the log or they will be defeated by Old Hararians, removing them from the top of the log.
However the Pitbulls have remained victorious as this past weekend, they defeated their rivals, Old Hararians. Keeping them in their first position in the log and undefeated.

In Bulawayo’s 2023 U20 Rugby league, CBC Hornets are on the top of the log.
CBC Hornets who have 19 points are followed by Wester Surburbs Academy with 15 points and in the third place are Raging Bulls with 10 points.
Team Zim hockey continues with their campaign for the Junior Africa Cup which will be played in Egypt this coming month of March.
This weekend the team visited the city of Kings and Queens and faced off with local clubs.

In soccer, Bulawayo Real Betis Campus has opened. The first training and enrolment day will be conducted on 11 March at the Babourfields B Arena.
Zenzo Moyo will lead the management team, Gift Lunga Jnr and Johanes Ngodzo will resume their technical duties.
Enrolment is for players between 6 years to 18 years.
