South African sensation Tyla is set to dazzle at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, where she’s a finalist in an impressive eight categories, including Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Female Artist, and Top Afrobeats Artist.

Her debut album, Tyla, reached No. 24 on the Billboard 200 in April, while her global smash “Water” climbed to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January before winning the inaugural Grammy for Best African Music Performance. Three of Tyla’s hits—“Truth or Dare,” “Water,” and “Jump” (featuring Gunna and Skillibeng)—are vying for the Top Afrobeats Song award, making her a leading contender this year.
