Under the theme Less Noise, More Music, this year’s SAMAs emphasize a focus on artistry, celebrating 30 years of South African music’s impact and evolution.
Tyla, the international South African sensation, leads the pack with five nominations, including Album of the Year for her self-titled album Tyla, and Best Collaboration for her track “Water” with Travis Scott. Following closely, Kabza De Small, Mthunzi, and Mbuso Khoza each received three nominations in key categories.
RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi expressed pride in the year’s nominees, commenting, “We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible diversity, talent, and creativity in South African music, and we’re excited to honor these achievements at SAMA30.”
