HARARE – Back by popular demand, the bold and high-energy jukebox musical & Juliet returns to the Reps Theatre stage in Harare from 6–9 August 2025. Following its sold-out run earlier this year, the limited rerun promises another round of laughter, music, and empowerment for audiences.

Presented by The Repertory Players and directed by Sue Bolt with musical direction by Sharon Thomson, & Juliet flips Shakespeare’s classic tragedy on its head, asking: What if Juliet chose to live? The musical follows Juliet on a journey of self-discovery and courage, blending heart, humor, and chart-topping hits from the 2000s.

Audiences can look forward to belting out favorites like “Oops!… I Did It Again” by Britney Spears, Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life”, Katy Perry’s “Roar”, and Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone”.

The talented cast includes Ashley Makuwa as Juliet, Elvis Chikiwa as Romeo, Act Muronzi as Shakespeare, Caroline Yule as Anne Hathaway, Anele Mhlanga as Francois, and Lillian Jaure as Nurse.

Evening shows start at 7:00 pm, with a special matinee on Saturday, 9 August at 2:30 pm. Tickets are USD $15, with concessions for pensioners, Reps members, and DTZ members. Bookings are available via The Spotlight at www.thespotlight.co.zw or by contacting +263 789 196 044 on WhatsApp or call.

Founded in 1931, The Repertory Players is one of Zimbabwe’s oldest theatre companies, and & Juliet marks its 803rd production, continuing its proud tradition of bringing world-class theatre to local audiences.
