Stephanie Pillay, Managing Director of MultiChoice Botswana, highlighted the company’s dedication to showcasing and investing in local talent, emphasizing the significance of this initiative for Botswana’s film industry. “We are here to discuss three locally produced projects, directed, acted, and scripted by Batswana. It is truly significant for us to be launching this with you today,” she shared, underscoring the impact of community-driven projects.

Pillay explained that MultiChoice’s efforts aim to establish a sustainable pipeline of industry professionals and bolster the growth of Botswana’s film sector. She noted that this milestone would have a profound impact on local communities, with each film showcasing the exceptional passion and talent within the country.

MultiChoice is not only the best storyteller in Africa; it is invested in ensuring a sustainable supply of creatives. This is why, for example, we have programs like MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF), which trains and produces market-ready creatives. I am proud that the two ladies who worked together on Mokwalo, Masego and Lorato, are our MTF alumni.” said Stephanie Pillay,
