Johannesburg, 28th July – The animated project “Monster Nanny,” helmed by director Tafadzwa Hove and produced by Kaya Kuhn and Kate Marsay of Those Production Girls, has been awarded the prestigious Best Animation Grant from the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) at the Durban Filmmart 2024. This accolade underscores the project’s exceptional creativity and significant potential within the African animation industry.

“Monster Nanny” emerged victorious from a highly competitive selection process, where only eight projects from across the continent were accepted into the pitch forum. This recognition highlights the innovative vision behind “Monster Nanny” and showcases the growing expertise of African animators on the global stage.
