Spotlight: Born and raised in the Netherlands and of Cape Verdean heritage, Lyzaira is a singer and business woman of extraordinary talent and swank.

Born in 1996, the young musician had an initial inkling for music but after the unfortunate passing of both her brother and her sister, that resulted in her pulling away from her musicianship in her teens.

She also gave birth to her daughter Jelea at eighteen years of age. It wasn’t until 2020 when she decided to shift the trajectory of her life through therapy and rediscovering her passion for music while also honouring her African heritage in her work.

Her debut single “Catch the Vibe” was released in 2022. This is a slow and steady tune which chronicles a love story the protagonist encourages a romantic partner to meet her desires and expectations. The accompanying music video has a tropical island feel and showcases her allure on the camera. “Catch the Vibe” was followed by another solid release in “Sneaky Jam” another love song. The music video clearly draws inspiration from heist movies.

Her latest release is titled “Vida Loca” which is an Afro-beats inspired single on which her smooth vocals seamlessly glide over the instruments. The music video to accompany this single is of her and a bevy of other women celebrating life by the poolside, a mansion and yacht.

Going through the rest of her catalogue of singles and videography, Lyzaira radiates with an easy grace and femininity which can entrance her audience. She possesses an easy soprano fit for R’n’B and pop music. 

With a career only in its infancy, the work she had done so far makes testament to unlimited possibilities for the young star. As she continues to grow her catalogue of music and her artistry, Lyzaira shows herself as an artist of great depth who has a large well to draw from for her work.
