The main opposition party in Zimbabwe, the Citizens Coalition of Change (CCC) denied the letter that was circulated on social media indicating that more than 10 members of Parliament and 19 councillors from across the country from the CCC party including, Hon. Pashor Sibanda from Cowdray Park (who defeated the Finance Minister) and Hon Nicola Watson of Bulawayo South (who also defeated by then Deputy Minister of Industries), will be expelled from parliament as they are no longer members of the Triple C party.

The letter, which was addressed to the speaker of Parliament, Hon. Mudenda was written by Mr. Sengezo Tshabangu who claims to be the CCC official interim Secretary General.

A CCC statement that was delivered to the press by the party’s Deputy spokesperson, Gift Ostallos Siziba described the letter as a hoax and that they don’t recognise him (Mr. Tshabangu ) as their party member rather as a member of their opponent party MDC T.

“Members of the public are advised to disregard these with the contempt they deserve. The CCC party has neither recalled nor does it intend to recall any of it’d recently elected deployees, ” said Hon. Siziba.

The party has been criticized by some members of the ruling party sighting that the opposition is wasting taxpayers’ money.

During the 9th parliament of Zimbabwe, a few opposition Members of Parliament were recalled by then the main opposition MDC Alliance which was headed by Senator D Mwonzora.
The expelled MPs were accused of joining the Triple C party which was formed by Mr. Nelson Chamisa.
