The slogan #togetherwecan has been trending on social media, particularly during the Mister Africa International 2024 pageant.
The Mister Africa International Zimbabwe candidate has been using this slogan as his guiding motto, which has captured the hearts of many, inspiring them to follow the pageant and support his vision for Africa.
In an interview with My Afrika Magazine, the Zimbabwean candidate, Future Nyoni, explained how the slogan became an integral part of his journey to Mister Africa International.
“When we introduced the slogan #togetherwecan as part of our motto, we wanted to include everyone who is African by birth or by heart to join us in this adventure of making history. Despite our different time zones, cultures, tribes, and religious or political beliefs, at the end of the day, we are one continent, we are all Africans,” he said.
Nyoni added that every project he plans to bring to Africa, once he assumes the title of Mister Africa International, will benefit all Africans, which is why he chose the slogan #togetherwecan.
“If you look at the community projects I have lined up for the continent, once I am crowned King, they will not only benefit my fellow Zimbabweans but all Africans across the continent,” Nyoni said.
Among the community projects he aims to bring to Africa are building temporary classrooms in refugee camps and constructing regional youth hubs for youth struggling with mental health as well as unemployed youth.
Nyoni began his campaign for Mister Africa International 2024, the 12th edition, on a positive note, as he won the Internet Facebook category.
He also expressed his gratitude to the people who voted for him, telling My Afrika Magazine that the support showed people believed in his message of unity and working together to develop African communities.
“I am grateful to everyone who voted, not only for me but for all the delegates. The votes show that people understand the messages my fellow contestants and I are sharing. I am honored to be among the leading delegates in this category,” he added.
Nyoni will be competing alongside other African Kings for the title of Mister Africa International in Sierra Leone from the 12th to the 24th of December this year.
