Ontlametse Brian Mothobi, a 25-year-old native of Potchefstroom, has made significant strides in both the sports and fashion industries. Raised in Lotlhakane Rapulana in Mahikeng, where he currently resides, Brian’s early passion for football led him to Setlopo Science and Commercial High School. His talent was soon recognized by Real Talent Sports Academy, which scouted him in 2016 and brought him to Gauteng province.

After completing his matric in 2017 at Kagiso Senior Secondary School, Brian played for Liverpool Football Club in the Northern Cape under the ABC Motsepe League. Unfortunately, the national lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought his football career to an abrupt halt, leading him to explore new avenues.

Embracing a long-held interest in modeling, Brian transitioned to the fashion industry, quickly making his mark. In 2022, he was crowned Mister and Face of Mahikeng and later achieved Top 15 placements in both the Mister South Africa 2023 and Mister Supranational South Africa competitions. Driven by his experiences, Brian remains determined to excel and aims to keep competing until he reaches the pinnacle of success.

Currently, Brian works as a wardrobe stylist and fashion influencer, proudly referring to himself as the “best-dressed walking mannequin.” He sees the runway as his stage, where he brings his passion for fashion to life. Fashion, for Brian, has been a crucial form of expression and a source of strength, especially after his football career ended. He believes in always looking the part and understands the importance of consistent self-branding and maintaining high standards in his craft.

Brian’s journey underscores the importance of hard work, dedication, and resilience. He emphasizes the need to invest in oneself, whether through gaining experience, building a strong portfolio, or being willing to take risks such as traveling or relocating.
