TR: Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
DT: I’m David A.E Takavarasha, a model, entrepreneur, and creative enthusiast from Harare, Zimbabwe. I’m passionate about building heritage through youth impact and pursuing various interests, including modeling, cooking, event hosting, and sports.

TR: What inspired you to start SophistiQ Sway, your clothing brand and entertainment company?
DT: As a young person, I wanted to create a platform that empowers and showcases youth talent. SophistiQ Sway is a dynamic brand that combines fashion, entertainment, and self-expression.

TR: You’re a talented rugby player. Can you share some of your achievements in sports?
DT: I’ve had the privilege of being named Best Rugby Player and Sportsman of the Year at Frank Johnson School (2017), playing for the Churchill Bulldogs Rugby team, and serving as 1st Team Captain in 2023.

TR: You’ve had an impressive modeling career, including winning Mr. Teen Zimbabwe 2023. What advice would you give to aspiring models?
DT: Always be confident, passionate, and true to yourself. Networking and building relationships in the industry are key, and don’t be afraid to take risks and learn from experiences.

TR: How do you balance your various pursuits, from modeling to entrepreneurship and sports?
DT: Time management and prioritization are essential. I focus on my passions and delegate tasks when possible. My diverse interests also help me stay energized and motivated.

DT: We’re working on expanding our brand, hosting more events, and collaborating with talented individuals. Our goal is to continue empowering youth and showcasing Zimbabwean talent globally.
