As the age old saying goes, the apple never falls too far from the tree. This rings true for two musical sisters who are the offspring of some of Zimbabwe’s most pioneering singers. Shalom and Eternity Charamba are the daughters of Charles and Olivia Charamba, two of Zimbabwe’s most renowned gospel music acts.
The two sisters have been in the music game for a while and have recently released an album titled ‘Exultations’ featuring their combined music.
Eternity released her debut single titled ‘Tonamata Jesu’ which was released back in 2020 concurrently with her older sister’s; Shalom’s ‘Mbiri Yose’.
Eternity’s single ‘Minzwa’ is a piece of worship music accompanied by a music video which has gained thousands of views in the weeks it has been released, MINZWA – Eternity Charamba.
The single speaks of the ill fates people are accustomed to meeting in life and the divine intervention one requires to overcome these challenges.
The single ‘Mweya Mutsvene’ by Shalom is also accompanied by a lush music video (Mweya Mutsvene – Shalom Charamba) in which the songstress pleads for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The two sisters also recorded a duet for the album titled ‘Nditungamirei Jehovah’ Nditungamirei Jehovah – Eternity Charamba ft Shalom Charamba in which the siblings showcase how well they work together as they lend their talents into singing a beloved age-old hymn.
The album has eight tracks and has already earned the two musicians thousands of streams online. It was also revealed that some of the songs were penned by their father, Charles Charamba. With a firm foundation, the two sisters are set to soar as they continue on their musical journey.
