“South Africa deserves Julius Malema as President,” Honorable Pashor Sibanda proclaimed at the #EFFManifestoLaunch2024.
With the country on the brink of General Elections, political fervor is palpable as citizens prepare to cast their votes for the parties that will represent them in parliament and ultimately determine the next Head of State. From the longstanding ruling party ANC to emerging forces like Mkhonto We Sizwe, political entities have been unveiling their election manifestos, outlining their vision for the nation.
At the forefront of this political landscape stands the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), led by Honorable Julius Malema since its inception in July 2013. The party recently presented its manifesto on the grand stage of Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, drawing attention from across the continent.
Among the notable figures in attendance was former Cowdray Park MP, Honorable Pashor Sibanda, known for his staunch support of the former Citizens Coalition For Change leader and his colleagues. Clad in the signature dark blue associated with the ‘New Movement,’ which is linked to Advocate Nelson Chamisa, Honorable Sibanda expressed his solidarity with the EFF’s cause.
In a Facebook post, he lauded Julius Malema for his unwavering support of Zimbabweans, particularly those who have sought refuge in South Africa. “South Africa deserves Julius Malema as President,” he affirmed, emphasizing the EFF’s commitment to championing the plight of marginalized communities.
With a track record of electoral success, the EFF has steadily expanded its parliamentary representation, securing a significant presence in both the national and provincial spheres. Presently, the party commands 44 out of 400 seats in parliament, 11 out of 90 in the National Council, and 50 out of 430 in provincial legislatures.
As South Africa braces for the upcoming elections, the endorsement of Julius Malema by figures like Honorable Pashor Sibanda underscores the growing momentum behind the EFF’s vision for transformative change.
