Zimbabwean-born and former England batter Gary Ballance signs a two-year deal to play for Zimbabwe after release from Yorkshire.

Gary played for Zimbabwe at Under-19 level before moving to England in 2006 as a schoolboy. Between 2014 and 2017, he went on to play 23 tests and 16 one-day internationals for his adopted nation before falling out of favor.

Zimbabwe Cricket team will face off with the English cricket team next month. The T20IS tournament will be held in Harare from 12-15th of January and ODIS 18-23rd of January.

Zimbabwe Cricket director, Hamilton Masakadza said the team was delighted to have Gary back home.

“We are elated to have Gary, an immensely talented and experienced cricketer, back home where it all started for him,” said Hamilton.

Ballance expressed gratitude to the team for accepting him and promised to work vigorously well with everyone.

“I am thrilled to be joining Zimbabwe cricket team and can’t wait to start work with some great coaches and talented players,” said Gary.

In the world of soccer, Zimbabwe’s Soccer giants Highlanders FC  announced the promotion of  players including :Prince Ndlovu, Daniel Msendami, Darlington Mukuly, Mason Mushore and Nigel Ncube into the first team.
