Emerging with a powerful voice, Austen Tsvaki Hakunavanhu is set to  burst onto the Zimbabwean literary scene with his debut solo work, What Goes Around, Comes Around, a collection of short stories and poetry that explores themes of resilience and human connection. Hailing from Zimbabwe, he was born at Gaths Mine,  Mashava, where he attended Gaths Mine, Maraire, and Svuure Primary  Schools, before moving to Musiso and Marist Brothers for his Secondary Education.

An educator, he began his career teaching English, before transitioning to become a school head. With a passion for story telling and moulding young minds, his writing weaves a narrative that’s both poignant and thought-provoking, promising a bright future for this fresh talent.

Inspired by everyday life, his writing explores themes of identity, culture, karma, fate and resilience. Having previously shared pages with other poets in a collective anthology titled, I WILL HAVE LOVE, he now wishes to present his debut solo book, WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND, set for release in May.

When he is not shaping young minds in the classroom, Austen enjoys writing, reading, football, and exploring the quiet beauty of the countryside, where many of his tales and inspiration are born.
