Mister Africa International Zimbabwe is entering a new chapter as they prepare for the 12th edition of the Mister Africa International pageant, set to be held in Sierra Leone this December.

The country’s delegate for Mister Africa International 2024 is Future Nyoni, the reigning Mister Africa International first runner-up for 2023. Nyoni is no stranger to the competition, having represented Zimbabwe in last year’s virtual edition where he performed exceptionally well and was crowned the first runner-up of Mister Africa International.

Due to his proven track record, the Mister Africa International Zimbabwe organizers have decided to give him another opportunity to participate in the event in person.

Mister Africa International Zimbabwe Director, Tapiwanashe Rubaya, shared that Nyoni will continue his duties as Mister Africa International Zimbabwe.

“To the media and both private and public stakeholders, we kindly ask for your support as Future Nyoni prepares to represent our nation and raise the Zimbabwean flag even higher,” said Rubaya.

About Future Nyoni:
Born in Hwange and currently based in the majestic town of Victoria Falls, known as one of the natural wonders of the world, Future Nyoni is a husband and father of one. He represented Zimbabwe in a regional pageant held virtually from the 9th to the 19th of October 2023.

Nyoni is also the co-founder of the Nambya Development Organisation Trust, Party Haven Events & Supplies, and Beauty Galaxy Organisation, a charity aimed at creating a poverty-free society, with a focus on supporting orphans, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

Using his title as Mister Africa International runner-up, Nyoni is actively involved in community work and charity initiatives while continuing to participate in international runway fashion shows. For him, modeling is more than just a profession; it is a means of expressing his thoughts and emotions on the runway, during commercial shoots, and in life.

His professional modeling career began in 2017 at Open Eye Studios, led by former Miss Zimbabwe Samantha Tshuma.

Nyoni holds several titles, including Victoria Falls Runway King 2022, Best Zim Male Runway 2020, Most Photogenic 2020, reigning Mr. Senior Zim 2022, and first runner-up Mister Africa International 2023, where he also won the Best Dressed Gentleman award.

He has showcased at the Beautiful You African Fashion Show in Malawi, the Global African Fashion Coalition in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga in South Africa, and has modeled designs by Afro Phoenix (Zimbabwe), Zado Fashions (Tanzania), Lele’s Creations and Black Shoulder (South Africa), and Tribal Trends by Shiko Onyango (Kenya).

In 2024, he participated in the Edgars Zimbabwe Extravaganza fashion show in Bulawayo.

Looking ahead, Nyoni aims to establish a modeling agency within the next five years, with a primary focus on grooming the boy child in the modeling industry, especially in Victoria Falls and surrounding areas. Currently, aspiring models must travel to Bulawayo or Harare for grooming and etiquette classes.
