Highlander FC hosted FC Platinum at Barbourfields stadium on Sunday the 2nd of April.
Bosso has not been able to defeat FC Platinum in the past few years.
However, on Sunday it was a different story for Highlanders Football Club winning with a 2-goal lead.
This is the first time Bosso has defeated the Zvishavane-based reigning champions in about ten years.
Highlanders’ goals came from Stanley Ngala, a former FC Platinum player, and defender Peter Muduhwa. They scored in the 27th and 33rd minutes respectively.
The match between the two soccer giants was the match of the week.
Football commentators such as Alois Bunjira praised, Bulawayo supporters on social media for turning up at the stadium and support the sport.
