The Savor Soirée is the brainchild of John Radipea Mathabatha, an accomplished entrepreneur passionate about hospitality and lifestyle-driven experiences. Born and raised in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria, Mathabatha has built a dynamic career spanning IT, hospitality, and business, with international experience in Nigeria and Kenya.
In 2024, he launched MATBAV (Pty) Ltd, a merger of Mathabatha Network Enterprise and Bavumile Liquor, with divisions in Events, Liquor, and Pub & Restaurant.
“The Savor Soirée is more than just a music event,” says Mathabatha. “It’s about creating meaningful connections through culture, artistry, and heritage. With the Ditsong Pioneer Museum as our canvas, we’re blending tradition and modernity to tell a shared South African story.”
The inaugural edition sets the stage for Savor Soirée to become a signature annual lifestyle and music experience, celebrating creativity and showcasing the vibrant spirit of Pretoria.
