TM:
Innovative, empowering, and culturally resonant. We aim to become a global leader in streetwear, showcasing African aesthetics while providing a platform for local artists. Our focus is on sustainability and expanding our outreach to inspire a wider audience.

TR: How does Kidd Hunta support youth empowerment through fashion, and what message do you hope to convey to your young audience?
TM:
Kidd Hunta empowers youth by promoting self-expression through fashion. We encourage young people to embrace their identities and pursue their dreams. Our message is clear:
Brave hearts never fail. We want to inspire confidence and cultural pride.

TM:
International exposure has greatly enhanced our visibility and credibility. It has connected us with a global audience and fostered collaborations that enrich our creative vision.

TR: What drives your design philosophy for Kidd Hunta, and how do you incorporate African heritage into your collections?
TM:
Our design philosophy is rooted in a deep appreciation for African culture and storytelling. We incorporate heritage through traditional patterns and our logo a running Bantu kid with a spear symbolizing our roots as hunters and gatherers, merging these elements with modern streetwear aesthetics.

TR: What can attendees expect from your collection at Zimbabwe Fashion Week next month, and how does it reflect your brand’s identity?
TM:
Attendees can expect a dynamic collection that embodies courage and innovation. Our designs will showcase bold graphics and statement T-shirts that drive home our narrative of bravery in pursuing dreams.
We will stick to our core colors of black, gray, bush green, and stylish hints of white, all thoughtfully combined to reflect our brand identity.


TR: Who is your target audience at ZFW?
TM:
Our target audience at Zimbabwe Fashion Week includes young adults, fashion enthusiasts, and cultural advocates who appreciate storytelling through streetwear and seek authenticity in their fashion choices.

TR: What challenges have you faced as a fashion designer in Zimbabwe, and how have you overcome them to achieve success?
TM:
We face challenges in establishing a solid e-commerce platform and integrating global payment gateways due to restrictions. Shipping abroad is also costly, with limited options. Currently, we ship from South Africa to reduce costs, and we seek partnerships with shipping companies for better solutions.

TM:
Showcasing at ZFW offers invaluable networking opportunities, exposure to potential buyers, and increased media attention. It allows us to share our narrative on a larger platform and connect with other creatives.
