Lesego Chombo, celebrated attorney, entrepreneur, and reigning Miss World Africa, recently shared her insights at the prestigious Forbes #Under30Africa Summit in Botswana, discussing the transformative potential of talent and partnerships for economic success. “I understood that my talent was a key to my economic success, and nothing successful happens unless you prepare,” Chombo said, underscoring the foundation of preparation in achieving long-term success.
Speaking at the Summit, Chombo addressed two major themes: “Fostering Partnerships Through Investment and Unity” and “Optimizing Talents for Success.” Both talks centered on the value of leveraging talent and resources to create sustainable growth, with implications at personal, national, and continental levels. As of today, Chombo also steps into a pivotal role in Botswana’s government, appointed as the Minister of Youth and Gender Affairs by President Duma Gideon Boko. Expressing gratitude for her new role, Chombo wrote, “All I have ever really longed for was to make people’s lives better, in all that I do. Now here is active and meaningful change!”
